The movie is around a man, Carl Frederickson, who as a young boy looked up to explorer Charles Muntz. Carl learns that his idol Muntz has been accused of faking the skeleton of a fiend bird he had claimed to have discovered in nirvana Falls, Venezuela, conspiracy America, and in turn organization fires him. One day, Carl stumbles upon an canty and approximately crazy tomboy named Ellie, who is also a Muntz fan.
